Merry Chrismakkuh and Happy Holidays Scentsy Warmers and Scented Candles

Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah & Happy Holidays to Everyone!

We call December “Chrismukkah” which is a melding of Christmas and Hanukkah.  Regardless of what you do or do not celebrate, Scentsy has the warmer and scent for you!   I don’t know about yours, but my family will celebrate any Holiday (where are the Kwanzaa Warmers?).  I already have the Fright Night warmer because my family loves to celebrate Halloween and we decorate our house and dress up.  This October our house will smell of Toasted Caramel Sugar (which reminds me of Candy Corns), Pumpkin Roll & Autumn Sunset scented candles.  I have the Heavenly Nightlight ready to go in my downstairs Bathroom as soon as December 1st hits.

My Christmas tree is always beautiful.  The kids always help put on the ornaments and then, after they’ve gone to bed, I rearrange them to fill in the gaps.  I will put out my Snowday Warmer, like I did last year, and put in my favorite Holiday scents like Winter Wonderland, Christmas Tree, Cozy Fireside and my new favorites: My Dear Watson, Sentimental Cider and Eskimo Kiss – this is the best!

My Menorah is almost never lit during Hanukkah but, guess what?  Scentsy solved this problem for good!

While we do celebrate Christmas my Mom is Jewish (she celebrates both too)…therefore, I’m Jewish…at least by heritage/race.  We are not a religious family but like to honor customs and get into the spirit of the holidays. While Hanukkah isn’t the most important Jewish holiday, it’s the most festive and it’s close to Christmas.  The only thing I do to celebrate my Jewish Heritage (besides eating all the wonderful food,  like Latkes, Blintzes, Matzoh Balls, etc.) is to put up my Menorah every year.  There is just one teeny, tiny problem…I always forget a few day of lighting the candles or not light them at all!  My mom is always reminding me to not forget but I’m just so busy.  My kids are always bugging me about it too.

This year though…I’ve got a plan.  I’m going to make up for all of those years where I haven’t been diligent.  This year I’m going to turn on my new Scentsy Menorah Warmer and keep it on for ALL 8 DAYS of Hanukkah and the Festival of Lights! Hannukah means “Rededication”.  This being said, I am going to dedicate myself to never falter at keeping my Menorah Warmer on with Melted wax in it consistently during these 8 Crazy Nights!  I will still put up my Grandfather’s Menorah as it is a beautiful and strong reminder of him.  Really, the little candles you buy to put in your menorah only last an hour or so.

According to tradition, there was very little oil left that had not been defiled by the Greeks during their Revolution.  Oil was needed for the menorah (candelabrum) in the Temple, which was supposed to burn throughout the night every night. There was only enough oil to burn for one day, yet miraculously, it burned for eight days. An eight day festival was declared to commemorate this miracle.
