Scent Review of 15 NEW Fall Winter 2015 Fragrances
Scent Review of 15 NEW Fall Winter 2015 Fragrances

Duchess: A woody women’s parfume.  I like it but not necessarily to warm in my house… on my neck though, that’s another story.  That’s what this one reminds me of.  *Opulent and daring, this bold blend of green mandarin, golden birch, chic vetiver and sweet, creamy caramel is a diva in the making.

Apple Smores: The first time I smelled this one I didn’t like it.  I am a traditional smores lover so the idea of apples mixed with it was totally not okay.  However, Now that I’ve smelled it a few more times I kind of like it.  I don’t love it but I do like the cinnamon with smores scent.  On a cold day this would be a great scent to warm in my house.  *Harvest Apples, Cinnamon glaze and a drop of coconut milk lend a tantalizing twist to classic toasted marshmallow, vanilla creme and warm cedarwood.

Sugared Cherry:  LOVE IT.  One of my favorites.  I love the smell of Cherries warmed.  It’s sweet without being sickeningly too sweet.  *Savor the changing seasons as frosted cherry and concord grape are sweetened by a pop of pomegranate.

Autumn Sunrise:  This one smells like a warm spiced tea on a cold and crisp fall day.  Love it!  *A warm blend of tart pomegranate, raspberry, nutmeg and spiced cinnamon stick pairs perfectly with chilly fall mornings.

Rum Raisin Cookie:  This is my #1 Favorite New Scent!  Shawn and I both LOVE it and have already locked away the 2 bars of it we have.  It smells Exactly like it sounds! *Freshly baked cookie dough sumptuously spiced with rum, raisin and clove will transport you to the corner bakery.

Cashmere Pear:  This one is an odd one for me because I love the scents listed in the description and because I LOVE a discontinued scent, Cashmere.  Well, this one is a bit too musky for me.  It smells nice but it’s strong.  Not sure I’d like to warm this one.  *Slip into sensual white amber, Madagascar vanilla, silky pear and warm red ginger, a blend as smooth and luxurious as fine-spun cashmere.

Woodland Suede: I really like this scent.  It’s clean, lightly woodsy, and it smells warm.  I can’t wait to warm this scent in our house.  *Retreat to a tranquil, wooded wonderland redolent with red oak, smoky cedar, suede musk and bright winter lemon.

Highway Run: This is kind of the theme this season I think…clean, crisp and outdoorsy.  This scent smells manly but light.  I like it.  *Toss the map and go where the wind takes you as crisp, adventurous notes of eucalyptus bud, cedar, amber and vetiver grass lead the way.

Frosted White Birch:  I Love this scent because it reminds me of the Holidays.  A fire, snowy day, fir needles and fresh all at once.  It’s not an overwhelmingly strong scent which I love.  Perfectly balanced.  *A cool breeze of peppermint frost, eucalyptus and lavender gently warms to blonde woods, fir needle and amber.

Davenport: Not one of my favorites.  It’s just kind of ‘there’ for me.  Not bad.  Not memorable.  I love sandalwood and vanilla though so I wonder if I warm it if I will have a different opinion…stay tuned.  *The warmth of cardamom, amber and vanilla complemented by artemisia and sandalwood create a comforting, cozy fragrance.

Juniper Berry: Love it.  Lightly sweet, fruity but earthy all at once.  This one is a keeper.  *This luscious blend of black raspberry, lemon peel and bergamot with a hint of earthy balsam is clean and crisp, like the first taste of autumn.

Bergamot Bay:  This is a stronger version of Juniper Berry IMO.  I prefer the lighter version.  *Classic bergamot is captured beautifully in this outdoorsy, eye-opening scent, accented by crisp notes of juniper berry, bay leaf and white sandalwood.

Ode to Opulence: I smell the Coconut Milk and Black Currant.  They, to me, are the star here. It’s a warm scent that makes me want to make a cobbler or something.  I really like this scent.  *Lavish your senses with the sweet, evocative aroma of apricot, blood orange, coconut milk, black currant and spiced vanilla.

Tahitian Black Orchid:  Lighter than Ode to Opulence but with more of a plum, orchid and coconut milk.  They blend nicely and it’s hard to pick out one specific scent which is something I like.  Get this one!  *A seductive tapestry of black orchid, dark plum, coconut milk and white rose weave a mysterious talke full of sweet surprises.

Blueberry Rush:  I can’t get enough of this scent!  I really Love it.  The more I smell it the more I LOVE it.  Smells just like a big, ripe and beautiful blueberry.  *A sweet surge of ripe blueberry leads a luscious bouquet of lively cranberry, black currant and pomegranate.

Kid Scents:

Berry Bubble Blue: Super sweet scent that reminds me of Blue Raspberry Cotton Candy.  Kids will want to eat this one.  *A delicious blast of blue raspberry, tart green apple and spun sugar will brighten up bath time, bedtime, anytime!

Candy Dandy: Fruity sweetness.  It even smells Pink like the color of the wax.  Your kids will love this in our Scrubby Bath smoothies, in their warmers and will fall asleep with very sweet dreams. *Almost sweet enough to eat! Kids will go gaga for this delicious candy scented concoction of mango, lemon drops and creamy vanilla.

Jammy Time:  OMG.  LOVE.  We have this scent in our Lenny the Lamb Buddy Clip which our son has now clipped to his dance bag.  Every time he’s in the car it smells fantastic.  It reminds me of the perfume/cologne Angel.  It’s strong Lavender and Sweet pea and I just can’t get enough of this.  This one isn’t just for the kiddos!  *Help kids drift into dreamland with this soothing blend of baby freesia, lavender and sweet pea, perfect for bedrooms and evening baths.

Wild What-A-Melon:  This scent took Shawn and I back to our childhood chewing Hubba Bubba & Bubbalicious Gum.  It’s a fun green apple and watermelon scent.  *Your little wild one will love this fun and fruity fragrance, bursting with ripe watermelon, green apple and scrumptious sugared pineapple.

Returning Scents:

We have 23 Returning Scents.  Some of these have been around for years while others were introduced just last year.  I already know my favorites of all of these and also which ones I can’t stand… really… just 1 I really think is gross but others love it.

Whiteout:  I loved mixing this scent with Very Snowy Spruce all last Christmas.  It’s really cool and minty and enhances.  *Exhilarating blast of cool peppermint and sweet, golden apple over frosty winter pine.

Silver Bells:  My Mom’s favorite holiday scent.  Now, I don’t think that it smells like the description but it does smell like the Holidays.  Get this one, you’ll love it too!  *Mint candy canes dance over warm and welcoming winter pear, all enveloped in a velvety blanket of caramel and vanilla sugar.

Snowberry: Berry and Mint.  That’s as simple as this one gets.  It’s a favorite of our customers every year.  *A luscious blend of loganberry, strawberry, peppermint and zesty cinnamon.

Peppermint Dreams: This is one of those scents that is tough for me.  It’s SUPER sweet smelling and is just like a Junior Mint.  I can’t stand this warmed in my house.  Something about warmed chocolate and mint together just doesn’t work for me.  I have one customer, a friend of ours Heather, who can’t get enough of this one.  *A warm rush of chocolate cupcake cooled by a blast of fresh mint.

Orange Amber: Spicy orange and amber are the stars in this scent.  It screams FALL SCENT to me.  *An alluring blend of bitter orange and clementine, exotic, wild ginger, cozy cardamom and sultry amber.

Clove & Cinnamon:  We love clove in this house.  I try to bake with it as much as possible in the fall.  This is a scent we love anytime of the year.  *Classic scent of cinnamon sticks fused with cloves.

Christmas Cottage:  One of our best sellers every winter season.  I like that it’s cinnamon-y as well as fruity but smells like a ski lodge with a fire burning.  *A cozy, inviting blend of valencia oranges, raspberries, cloves and spices.

Cinnamon Bear:  Those little Red Gummy Bears that are “Cinnamon Bears” are exactly what Cinnamon Bear smells like.  Use it alone or mix it with another scent to create something new…if you are a cinnamon lover then get this one! *Crisp, spicy cinnamon, reminiscent of Red Hots candy with a touch of cloves.

Everything Nice:  I’ve never been a big fan of this one.  It’s probably the mix of caramel and nuts.  Too sweet for me.  *Sugar and spice and everything nice.  Deep caramel and swirls of butter with roasted pumpkin and glazed pecans.

Cedar Cider: This is just a really wonderful scent.  If you love Apple Cider and Cinnamon then you will LOVE this one.  *An autumn medley of the reddest apples, cinnamon sticks and vanilla beans nestled among fragrant white cedar branches.

Mandarin Moon: Cinnamon: Orange and Ginger are wonderful together.  It smells like orange spice tea.  *Spirited cinnamon and glowing ginger illuminated by sweet orange and star anise.

Pumpkin Marshmallow:  I refuse to smell this one more time.  I know I can’t stand it.  It brings back my memories of Thanksgiving having to smell Candied Yams.  I can’t stand that smell and this scent captures it perfectly.  If you love Candied Yams then help yourself please! *Sticky, sweet marshmallow spooned onto fresh baked pumpkin and wrapped in a graham cracker crust.

Very Merry Cranberry: Wonderfully Cranberry with a wintery twist.  *Lush, red winter berries pop against a backdrop of snow-covered cedar, creating a lovely winter landscape.

Pomegranate Pear:  Very Peary with an orange zest after tone.  I’m not a huge lover of pomegranate scents but I want to like this.  Unfortunately for me it’s a no go.  *Sweet nashi pear garnished with violet petals, pomegranate seeds and curls of orange zest.

Cozy Fireside: Super strong spicy and cinnamon scent.  It smells like you tossed those cinnamon scented pine cones into the fire of a lodge.  That’s how I can best explain it. *Warm spice notes with zesty ginger and cinnamon.

Boho: Warm apples and plums.  I don’t smell as much cinnamon but it’s a nice and lighter holiday scent. *A bohemian fragrance of clove-studded winter apples entwined with juicy black plums, candied mulberries and cinnamon sticks.

Honey Pear Cider: Warm, spiced pear cider.  This is always a great scent to warm in the Fall. *The scent of pur autumn bliss – fresh, juicy pear and sweet honey together with subtle hints of spices.

Very Snowy Spruce:  If you have a fake Christmas Tree or just love the smell of a fresh spruce in your home…You MUST have this scent in abundance. *Breathe in fresh forest air, balsam, spruce and cedar branches embrace the warmth of amber and woody pine cones.

Winter Pine:  If you prefer Pine trees then this scent is a bit lighter than our snowy spruce.  *frolic in a forest of evergreens as fir needles fall among aromatic white cedar and musk, with a wintry whisper of citrus.

Autumn Sunset: This is one of our oldest and regularly returning fall/winter scents. This always reminds me of falling leaves on a crisp, cold fall day.  Love this. *Apples, pumpkins, fall leaves and spices – a top 10 fragrance.

Iced Pine: This scent has more peppermint in it than Winter Pine.  That’s really the big difference with the two scents.  I like it but prefer spruce.  *As refreshing as a walk through newly fallen snow, green fir and pine, kissed by icy peppermint.

Autumn Blaze Maple: I’m not a lover of maple sweetened scents although I cook with it all the time as I love the taste.  This one is too sweet for me.  *A bountiful harvest of crisp apples and earthy pumpkins with golden maple syrup, warm cinnamon and a ribbon of smoldering oak.

Eskimo Kiss:  One of my favorite scents ever.  The very first time I went to our Scentsy HQ’s in Meridian, Idaho, we met our fragrance department heads.  They were teaching us about Top, Mid and Base Notes of scents and how there are many scents that go into making all of our fragrances.  They used Eskimo Kiss as an example and I still have the Jar of the 3 Notes sections they gave us in our training.  Blackberries and Vanilla with sugar.  Smells like heaven to me.  *Blackberry Jam, Caramelized brown sugar, vanilla and amber in a softly romantic scent.
