We get LOTS of questions from Customers but this 1st one, is one of the most commonly asked…
Can I Leave My Scentsy ON Overnight?
Yup! You sure can. Scentsy Warmers aren’t flamed Candles. They aren’t “Burners”. They are Warmers! Whether you have Wax in them or Not… Leave them on if you like. Leave them on at night, during the day, while you sleep, while you are at work if you want.
In fact, We have Scentsy Warmers and Nightlights in every single room in our home, even in our Garage (we made it our man cave). In the almost 7 Years we’ve been Consultants we’ve never turned off a warmer at night. In fact, all warmers are left on 24/7 with the exception of when we are out of town. I mean, we also turn off the heat and most everything else but that’s the only time they are off.
Many times customers order our Warmers just because they are beautiful, hand crafted, original works of art but they don’t like fragrances. For real! And they leave them on just like a lamp. When you leave your home do you turn off all the lamps to save energy or because you are worried about them starting a fire? Think of our warmers like lamps.
How much Energy does it cost to leave on Scentsy Warmers 24/7?
Some of you may be thinking that we are energy wasters. Okay maybe but, we love our home and rooms to smell great and even when we don’t have wax in the warmers they add some extra light at night so you don’t bang into things when getting up to use the bathroom, get a midnight snack or to see what the dog is barking about!
You also could be wondering what doing this does to the life of our light bulbs. While it will save you energy costs in the long run but you also will shorten the life of light bulbs when you turn them on and off regularly.
I have no idea how much your energy bills are but we are totally fine with ours. It’s all relative really isn’t it?
Is there any Fire Hazard by leaving our Scentsy Warmers On when you are asleep or away from the house?
Scentsy invests a great deal of time and money into safety testing. While all electrical appliances have the potential to “short,” Scentsy warmers have an extremely low “short” rate (.05 % or five one hundredths of one percent, which is well below the industry safety standard).
The same precautions taken with other electrical products should be taken with Scentsy warmers, including ensuring the proper size and wattage light bulb has been inserted fully into the socket; that no wax or water has spilled into the bulb socket, and that the warmer is not covered or placed on a flammable surface.
Scentsy has a proven track record of safety and ensuring that all of our products are sound. We believe our track record speaks for itself. Scentsy has sold more than 40,000,000 warmers Since opening in 2004, and during that time, it has never been proven in a court of law that a Scentsy warmer has started a fire of any kind. PERIOD!
You can’t argue with these numbers or facts.
To finish, I’d say that keeping our customers safe and happy is Scentsy’s #1 Priority which is a big part of the reason Scentsy was created in the first place: to provide a safer alternative to traditional candles.
